Submission Deadline: September 12

Submit Open Poster to IEEE SENSORS 2016

IEEE SENSORS 2016 provides a forum for research scientists, engineers, and practitioners throughout the world to present their latest research findings, ideas, and applications in the area of sensors and sensing technology.

This option is for authors who want to explore new ideas and concepts with colleagues in the profession. Candidate posters (size limit is 100 cm width x 115 cm height) are submitted in PDF format and are evaluated in a rapid review cycle for appropriateness for the technical scope of the conference.

The submissions are not published in the Conference Proceedings or in IEEE Xplore. Instead, they are distributed at the conference to attendees on electronic media. Companies are encouraged to present the technologies behind their products; pure marketing presentations are not appropriate.

IEEE Photonics Volunteer & Chapter Forum

IEEE Photonics Volunteer & Chapter Forum
The IEEE Photonics Society is holding a Volunteer & Chapter Leadership Forum Luncheon, during LAOP 2016, for conference attendees, local students, chapter volunteers, professors and community partners interested in volunteering in the fields of photonics and optics. Photonics, a cross-discipline study, has been named the science of the 21st century by most international governments, as it has transformed the way we look at technology. IEEE Photonics has a variety of educational outreach opportunities available to help engage academia and industry in the science.
Date:  23/08/2016 Time:  12: 30-14: 30 Location:  Planetarium of Medellín  Cra. 52 # 71-117 Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia 050010

This forum will provide attendees with an unique opportunity to exchange information and discuss areas of common interest or concern in the photonics community. The IEEE Photonics Brazil Chapter Chair, Dr. Hugo Hernandez Figueroa, and local student members will be in attendance to share their experiences, knowledge and methods for professional development.

An informative presentation on IEEE Photonics academic resources and student opportunities, i.e. such as Graduate Student Fellowship, Young Professionals, Senior Member Advancement, and Women in Photonics programs, will also be given by IEEE staff.

GSON Formateo de fecha

Debido a un proyecto que estaba desarrollando me vi en la tarea de usar Gson y necesitaba que se pudiera enviar la fecha desde el fronend. Probe varias de  las siguientes formas :

private static Gson gson = new GsonBuilder().setDateFormat("EEE, dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss zzz").create();
private static Gson gson = new GsonBuilder().setDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ssX").create();
private static Gson gson = new GsonBuilder().setDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ssZ").create();
private static Gson gson = new GsonBuilder().setDateFormat("EEE, dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss zzz").create();

Pero la única que me dio resultado fue:

 private static Gson gson = new GsonBuilder().setDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSS'Z'").create();

2016 IEEE Colombian Conference on Robotics and Automation (CCRA 2016)

2016 IEEE Colombian Conference on Robotics and Automation (CCRA 2016)
The 2016 IEEE Colombian Conference on Robotics and Automation (CCRA 2016) follows the 5th IEEE Workshop on Robotics and Automation (IEEE CWRA) organized by the IEEE RAS Colombian chapter and IEEE-Colombia. CCRA 2016 will be held in Bogotá, Colombia, between September 29 th - 30 th 2016.
The venue for CCRA 2016 is the Universidad Sergio Arboleda.
CCRA’s objective is to gather academic and industrial Colombian robotics and automation community to discuss advances in robotics and automation, and how to transfer this knowledge into the society. Alongside CCRA 2016 there will be several robotic competitions, one of which will be the Colombia classificatory for the IEEE Latin American Robotics Competition 2016 (LARC 2016).
Contributions

presenting original results in all areas of robotics and automation, also including works in related field such as machine learning, computer vision and
control. Spanish written contributions can be submitted but will not be published by IEEE. There will be also a special track for undergraduate student’s
projects. Among other, this conference encourages contributions in the following topics:
• Agricultural robotic systems • Unmanned aerial systems • Marine robotics
• Medical robots • Swarm robotics • Tactile & haptics devices
• Educational robotics • Sensors & actuators • Computer vision for robotics
• Robotic competitions • Mechatronics • Sensing & sensor fusion
