ELECCIONES IEEE SECCION COLOMBIA

El Comité de Nominaciones y Elecciones de IEEE Sección Colombia se permite dar inicio al Proceso de Elecciones para los cargos de Presidente del Comité Ejecutivo de Sección Colombia y de Presidente para Capítulos Técnicos y Grupos de Afinidad para el periodo 2019 – 2020.

1. Del 7 de Noviembre al 30 de Noviembre de 2018.
   LLAMADO A POSTULACIONES
   - El comité de Nominaciones y Elecciones de IEEE Sección Colombia hace un llamado a todos los miembros activos de IEEE Sección Colombia a postularse para participar en las elecciones al cargo de Presidente (2019-2020) de IEEE Sección Colombia.
    
   - El comité de Nominaciones y Elecciones de IEEE Sección Colombia hace un llamado a todos los miembros activos de IEEE Sección Colombia que hacen parte de diferentes unidades a postularse para participar en las elecciones al cargo de Presidente de dicho Capítulo Técnico y Grupo de Afinidad.
    
   - El comité de Nominaciones y Elecciones evaluará que los candidatos propuestos cumplan con los requisitos establecidos y procederá a seleccionar al menos dos (máximo tres) para ser elegibles en el periodo de votación.
    
   *Requisitos: 
   Ser miembro Estudiante Graduado (GSM) o superior (M, SM, LS, LSM) y tener membresía activa en la/las unidades organizacionales de su interés.
    
   Enviar un correo electrónico a elecciones@ieee.org.co a con sus datos de contacto, grado y número de membrecía, manifestando su interés en participar en el proceso, tener pleno conocimiento de los deberes y responsabilidades del cargo y tener la disponibilidad de tiempo para ejercerlo, antes del 30 de noviembre de 2018. Debe indicar claramente la unidad a la que se postula así como un breve resumen de su currículo profesional y en el IEEE. (Máximo 200 palabras en total) Solo podrá postularse a un cargo en este proceso.
    
   Nota 1. Se entiende por miembro activo aquel que para el período de elecciones tiene su membresía paga mínimo hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2018.
    
   Nota 2. Se interpretará la duración del día hasta las 24:00 horas (GMT - 5:00)

4th IEEE Colombian Conference on Automatic Control 2019

Scope: The 4th IEEE Colombian Conference on Automatic Control (CCAC) will be held on October 15-18, 2019 in Medellin-Colombia. This is the fourth in a series that have been successfully established in the Colombian and Latin American region. The objective of the conference is to gather academics and industrial researchers and practitioners to discuss the state of the art, research, and developments in technological advances and applications of control engineering to encourage technology development in Colombia and the Latin American region. The conference includes all aspects around control engineering, from analysis and design to simulation and hardware. Major topics for the event include, but are not limited to, the following:

Applied control for industrial and non-industrial areas, applied control for robots, hybrid systems, intelligent control, mechatronics, mobile robots, modeling of dynamic systems, multi-robot systems, control of power systems, process control and automation, process optimization, sensing and sensor fusion, system identification, systems and signals, control of biological systems and biochemical processes.

Important Dates:
- Paper submission deadline: (March 17 2019) April 1 2019
- Paper decision notification: June 03 2019
- Camera-ready final manuscripts: July 15 2019

Paper submission: The program committee invites you to submit 4 to 6 pages long papers in English through http://www.ieeeccac2019.com.

Submitted papers to CCAC must be original, not previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere and must not be submitted to any other event or publisher during the entire review process. IEEE policy regarding plagiarism and duplicate submission/publication will be strictly enforced. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE CCAC 2019 Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore®. Only English versions will be published in IEEE Xplore®.

Venue: The 4th IEEE CCAC 2019 will be held in Medellin from the 15th to 18th of October 2019. Medellin, the 2nd largest city in Colombia, is a vibrant city that offers a wide variety of tourist, gastronomic and cultural attractions.
